weird question!!
I know it might sound a bit weird, but while doing online banking. What if something goes wrong?? ...like you type your student number wrong...(it's very unlikely) but still..

What would one do in that situation??? And how would Mcmaster respond to that???

Well, you should check and recheck to make sure things like that don't happen. All you need to do is check 4 things.

Is the bill being paid to McMaster University?
Is the account number my student number?
Is the amount being paid the correct amount?
Is the bill being paid in time?

It would also be good to get your parents to check over to make sure you have everything right. Better safe than sorry. If you make a mistake McMaster cannot take any responsibility. You can however keep the reference number, print out the page at the end to prove that you made a payment but made a slight mistake.

If it's a valid student number, it would go towards that student's account. I'm sure if you brought proof in they would fix this for you.

If you type an invalid student number, the bank should let you know once it bounces back to them and you'd be fine.

Either way, double check it and save it as a Payee so you don't have to type it in each time.
