Is it weird that some new books are cheaper than used?
Today I noticed that the bundle for Math 1a03/1aa3 which includes text book, two solution manuals and two codes for online assignment access (one for each course), is $187.50.

I also noticed that the used book is 140.65, and the two codes are thirty five dollars each. I also beeped one of the solution manuals and it was $46... I assume the other one is also that price... but even without the solution manuals... the used book and two codes are more expensive than the new, even though it's used. I'm just curious if anyone knows why? Some people found it hard to believe me that the new books are cheaper when I was helping them .

Not exacatly what you're saying, but someone offered to sell me 2 political science books for $105, when new it would be $103... couldn't quite figure that one out.

I don't understand. Does this mean we can't buy the books used because so far I have not seen anyone saying they are selling the material WITH the codes

Whoa, the Webassign codes are 35$ each? That's definitively more than last year.

Yeah, chances are that buying it new is worth it, especially if you are taking both 1A03 and 1AA3 since the codes will be 70$ in total.

For both Math 1A03 and 1AA3, we had our online quizzes on Webassign. We were taught how to access and use it in our first tutorial for Math 1A03, so I think thats what they'll do this year as well if they are still using it (which I think they are because the codes come with the text package listed on titles).
