Welcome Week Concerts 2009
So the word that I have heard so far is that Down With Webster and The Johnstones are both part of the concert line-up for Welcome Week this year. Post if you hear any more news about bands that are going to be a part of the set.

Noooooot quite.
Johnstones are playing Social Science Faculty night, open only to MacPass wielding Soc Scis.
Down With Webster is one of the Welcome Week bands though.

It's really difficult to book bands for Welcome Week. It's even more difficult since Campus Events have to get Canadian bands. You have to remember that there are other universities as well that book bands for their Welcome Week. Plus, all the bigger bands are usually very expensive.

Well, they don't HAVE to but it's much cheaper to get Candian bands than getting bands from the States.

As a Campus Events Rep for the upcoming school year, I can honestly say you will more than enjoy the two concerts this Welcome Week.
All of the bands have played at Mac before. All of the bands will draw a big crowd. It will be one hell of a good Welcome Week.

Hello All,
As Matt's boss, I can state that he is incorrect. Not all of the bands have played at Mac before. Although it is a sweet line-up!
However, we will be announcing the bands shortly so keep updated on the Campus Events Facebook Group at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/gr...35 449&ref=ts

How many bands are there going to be? I saw in the past there were times where the number was much more than years before or after.
