West End Muggings
Quote:
Hamilton police are anxious to catch two muggers who pulled off five robberies across the west end of the city in 48 hours.
Police are concerned because a weapon – either a tire iron or a metal bar of some sort – has been used in the robberies which are targeting young people walking on the street after 11:30 p.m.
None of the victims were injured.
Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings said investigators believe “someone out there knows something or someone” and hope they will “do the right thing” and call police or, if they wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers.
Two couples were attacked in separate robberies which occurred with a half hour of each other Wednesday night in the Leland Avenue area and near Main Street West and Olfield Road. In both instances, the muggers demanded cash and personal items and then fled to a waiting car.
The next night, on Thursday between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, three more robberies occurred in the west end with robbers and a vehicle police have linked to the earlier attacks.
These robberies occurred further east toward downtown Hamilton in the areas of Longwood Road and King Street and Haddon Avenue South near Main Street West. The victims in these three incidents were young men 19 - 23 being approached by two men demanding money.
One of the muggers was armed with what was described as a tire iron or pipe. In all three robberies, the suspects fled empty-handed.,
The robbers are described as 20- to-25 year-old, dark-skinned men 5 foot 11 inches to 6 feet tall with thin to medium builds.
The car involved is said to be a dark grey or black Honda
Anyone with information about the suspects to contact Detective Jo-Ann Savoie at 905-546-3818 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Everyone be safe and on the lookout! This seems to be around the west-end westdale-ish area.

A group of people that can repeatedly attempt muggings with weapons and come away empty handed EVERY time are not "pulling off robberies."
Pulling off implies non-failure.
But seriously. These people aren't a threat... They're hoping for some free shit through some half assed ploy they probably saw on TV.
One hard criminal would get shit done WITHOUT a weapon, a group of people with weapons can't even ****ing yank a cellphone off someone?
I don't mean to make light off the situation (shit, even I've reposted it on my FB prior to this message), but come on. Be cautious but don't become a hermit.
