What's the difference between Welcome Week for off-campus students and students living in residence?

There's no difference, both attend the same welcome week and engage in the same activities.

So what's this I'm hearing, about events only for students living in residence and SOCS holding events for only off-campus?

Every residence has it's own events. SOCS students are like a separate residence so they give you events to help create SOCS friends.

Main events are the same, but the residents also hold little events to themselves during Welcome Week and throughout the year.

Biggest thing you will miss is having them knock on your doors at residents to wake you up early during Welcome Week even if you stayed out late the night before.
