FYI this was the message I got.
Do you remember the game last year about what color bra you were wearing at the moment? For those of you who didn't participate in the game, what happened was that females posted the colour of the bra that they were wearing at that moment in their status on Facebook. Female's Facebook statuses were full of colors and it had males everywhere wondering why.
The purpose was to increase awareness of October Breast Cancer Awareness month. It was a tremendous success and we had men wondering for days what was with the colors and it made it to the news. This year's game has to do with your handbag/purse; we want to know where you put your handbag the moment you get home and change your status to "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser" depending on where you put it. You get the idea.
Just put your answer as your status with nothing more than that and cut 'n paste this message and forward to all your FB female friends to their inbox. The bra game made it to the news. Let's see how powerful we women really are!!! REMEMBER - DO NOT PUT YOUR ANSWER AS A REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE- PUT IT IN YOUR STATUS!!! PASS THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW

Yeah... the statuses are completely UNRELATED to breast cancer awareness. I don't know where people are getting that from. This is the message I got:
"OK ladies here's a game, like the bra color game which was a total success and we had men wondering for days what was with the colors and it made it to the News. Well this game has to do with your handbag, where we put our handbag the moment we get home for example "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser" well u get the idea. Just put your answer as your Status with nothing more than that and cut n paste this message and forward to your female friends. The bra game made it to the news and was for a purpose, this is just to screw with them. Lol remember: DO NOT EXPLAIN YOURSELF IN THE STATUS"
Jeez... it's just a game. I chuckled at some of them... It's all meant in good humour... but I guess it really did screw with some people.

I guess there are lots of different versions of the message floating around facebook.
When I put up my "I like it on...." status (yeah, I was one of them... hahaha) I didn't have breast cancer awareness in mind, lol. It just seems like such a wierd strategy to spread awareness, considering purses have nothing to do with cancer.

I have also been getting pretty fed up with these statuses that have absolutely nothing to do with breast cancer... as a matter of fact, there's no point to it at all. It's really just so girls can be all like "Haha, I would never, ever discuss my sexuality this openly... but this will confuse guys so I'll post this as my status to get loads of comments and attention!" Ugh, please girls, grow up.
My Facebook status: Ilike my purse on the floor. On an unrelated note, October is breast cancer awareness month. Help sponsor a mammogram by just a click of a button! http://www.thebreastcancersi te.com/
(Seriously though, take a moment to visit the site to help sponsor a mammogram! It's free!)

Sure, you got lots of people's attention... but what for? Does it actually do anything constructive, or just gets people speculating about your sex life with your cryptic messages that actually has nothing to do with expressing your sexuality? Why would you care for that? I don't know... maybe it's just me, but when I'm asked to participate in a "campaign", I like for there to actually be a point.
