No idea. Sounds like I get less than you and pay 85+/month.

You can take advantage of this.
I was in your position before, you just need to call them and tell them you want to speak to the supervisor.
They will ask you why, you tell them, and they send you to customer relations.
Say Telus, or Rogers etc, is willing to do (what you want for free) at the same price. Explain to them it's a hassle switching, but you may consider it because the price is so good. Or wonder why you're paying so much more, for something Telus offers for a lower price.
p.s it's really a scam, they offer you bare minimum if you don't raise questions.

Really? I don't think so.
With a standard voice and text minus data, I'd be paying ~25.
My smartphone has helped me so many times.
Built in GPS if you're trying to find places. With maps, and pinpoint location of you and the destination.
Tells me bus times, stops, and taking bus X to reach destination Y.
I'm quite pleased with it...
+ facebook mobile is fun

Say "I need to make extreme changes to my plan, and would find it easier to deal with someone of higher authority"
This is under billing and account changes, etc.
Who are you with? If it is rogers, they are basically told the customers are ALWAYS right.
And don't mind being a ***** if you need to be, you're paying them and they are there to serve YOU.
You can compare with my plan. Or any other plan you've heard of before.

My phone plan's pretty shet, but whatever.
Fido $35/month plan.
- Unlimited text to anywhere
-Free after 6pm or 7pm, I forget
-350 minutes a month
-Free weekends
The thing I like about Fido is that it counts by seconds instead of minutes. Or at least that's what I heard. Never bothered to check. I don't have caller ID or a data plan though. ]:

Rogers $75/Month
350 weekday minutes
Unlimited Weeknights/Weekends
1000 Long Distance Minutes
500 MB Data
Caller ID/Voicemail/The Works
iPhone 3GS
Not a great plan, but I've seen considerably worse. I plan to switch to Wind the second my contract with Rogers is up.

I was considering that, but I heard wind connectivity is poor.

Nope (they'll never have one for the current iPhones, the current ones work on a different radio frequency than the Wind cellphone towers), but I still have over a year left on my contract, I assume I'll be getting a new phone w/e my contract ends

Wind Mobile $10/month (a discounted rate, which will eventually run out)
Unlimited Calling
50 Texts per month
Huawei 8100
--
That's the basic plan. Adding unlimited text is $5, and data is $10 for 50mb, $20 for 500. Currently I'm just using the basic- texting was difficult on my old phone, so I didn't use it much. Now that I'm trying to get into the habit, I'll get the add on once I start sending 100+ per month (which is when its cheaper to get the add on).
I'm also pretty much always in a WiFi zone, so I rarely find myself in a situation where I would need a data plan (my phone is a smart phone). I'm not sure if the extra $10 a month is worth the few times I would have liked to have it. If my circumstances change, I might add one.
But yeah, Wind is pretty sick
