Whmis 1a00
Anyone know if this course is free of charge or not? I just switched to ENVIR SCI 1b03 for the second term and this course is apparently a co-requisite required in order to register.

So would this make any difference to the total fees paid or not?

Thanks.

It's zero units, and you pay for courses on a per-unit basis.
Also when you register, SOLAR should tell you what your fees were before and after.

True for the most part. Some zero unit courses, such as Science 2C00 (resumes and networking) have a small fee to cover time and what not (~$150), but any safety courses (WHMIS, Health Sci 1BS0, etc.) have no cost.

Since when does Science 2C00 have a fee? It was free when I took it.

When I added it to my course list, my tuition went up ~$150 for some reason.

Weird...especially if they changed it without telling anyone.
It's not just me being unobservant and not noticing a change in tuition either: http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...7.html?t=47147
As recently as last year, there was no charge for this course.
You might want to email them to clarify what's up with that...
As it is they just upped the co-op fee by a fairly large amount, charging $150 for 2C00 on top of that is absolutely ridiculous, especially when they're supposed to offer all of those services for "free" since you pay for them with your student fees. It doesn't cost you anything to book a resume critique or mock interview with their office outside the course, why should you have to pay to take the course? /rant.
