Would these courses fill up on SOLAR?
For my electives, I'm taking Bio 1A03, Stats 2B03, Math 1LT3, and Math 1B03.
Do any of these fill up really fast or are already full?
I'm really dreading my night with SOLAR tonight.
Thanks.

Stats tends to fill up fast. The other courses, it depends.

I've seen 1LT3 fill up before, but it's not too hard to get into if you just check every once in a while.

Hmm okay so apparently Stats 2B03 and Math 1LT3 I got....but Bio 1A03 and Math 1B03 were both full!
I actually don't understand how Bio or Linear Algebra can be full.
Anyways, if I wait a day or two will these two open up?

It's not a matter of waiting x amount of time. Typically when you are waiting for a spot to open it depends on people dropping it, so you should check as often as you can. For those courses though, they're not full, it's just that first years haven't picked yet and most of the spots are allocated for first-years. You can keep checking to see if an upper-year spot opens up, or sometime later this summer they may open up the spots reserved for first-years to everyone else.

Thank you! I hope they both open up soon.
But say let's say they don't open up, could I e-mail the department about it? Like I need Math 1B03 for my minor in math and I need Bio 1A03 for my post-grad education.

Sometimes departments may not open up courses if there is a greater than average demand for them if you do not need the course for graduation. You mentioned needing two courses for non-grad requirements, and while the Math department might open up the course, the Biology department may not. I hear that even Bio 2B03 has a much higher than anticipated demand this year and some 2nd years haven't gotten seats yet. If that's the case, then I would expect similar things with Bio 1A03 (just a guess).
Another possibility is that those courses are being "locked" (very possible) until the first years register so that they get priority. It has happened in the past where a friend of mine in a different faculty or program saw a course as "open" at the same time that I saw it as "full" for a prolonged period of time. This basically means that there were enough available seats for the course to stay open, but it was "locked out" to everybody not in a certain faculty. You can try for both courses (it doesn't hurt) but I would anticipate trying repeatedly and waiting for somebody to drop it

Bio 2B03 is actually open in both terms for me (I'm going into second year bio/enviro sci) but Chem 1A03/1AA3 are both full! There's four cores for chem so I'm not too worried. When Solar reopens in August there will be seats for sure. I'm sure there will be seats available in Bio 1A03 then as well (and likely most of the really big first year classes).

How come bio 2b03 is open to bio/envrio program but not to H.life scis(says full for both terms on solar). I see that the program note says
9 units from BIOLOGY 2A03, 2B03, 2C03, 2D03, 2EE3, 2F03, 2G03 for bio/enviro program
9 units from BIOCHEM 2EE3 (or LIFE SCI 2EE3), BIOLOGY 2B03 (or LIFE SCI 2B03), BIOLOGY 2F03 (or LIFE SCI 2F03), LIFE SCI 2C03, 2D03, 2H03, 2N03 for Life sci program
both programs equally have the options of choosing 3 courses out of given 7 courses. I guess cause bio/enviro is more towards biology, hence they get the priority? I'm so frustrated right now that I don't have access to any bio courses.

If you're in life sci then wouldn't you register for life sci 2B03?
