Year 2 Requirements
Hey everyone,

I am in year 1 math&stats and I dropped a elective leaving me at only 27 units total. For acceptance into 2nd year specialization programs, will I need to finish this year with a full 30 units? Or can I make up the last 3 units in another year?

Thanks.

You probably won't need to do the full 30 units, but you should always look at the programs you want to apply to.

I'm planning on applying for the Math specialization:

http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1591.html

It says 30 units level 1, but I don't need to complete the 30 units right away or do I?
Ugh, I'm confused.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to as long as you meet all the requirements. But you should definitively go talk to an academic advisors. They are in BSB near the lobby.

A friend did the same thing last year, and she didn't have to take summer school. But I don't think it would hurt, just so you're not 3 credits behind. I would go to an academic advisor as Jeremy mentioned and get all your questions cleared up though!
