the experimetrix studies open to first year psych students offer like $10 at the most, and people are still rushing to get them :L

You sure it wasn't because they wanted to reduce their final exam by 5%?

Pretty sure that's why.
I finished both of them last week. Let's just say one of them owned me hard by tricking me.

Some offer cash instead of the mark bonus, and some offer both. A lot of students sign up for the cash ones after they already have their credit.
I signed up for like 10 in first year that gave out cash, it was actually pretty sweet. You were rarely there for the full hour, and you could schedule them around your classes. It was a great way to get a little bit of extra pocket money.

I meant on top of the 5%
but actually, I heard from someone that if you do really well on the course work, the 5% doesn't help much, or that it is actually detrimental for you or something like that.
last term I just did the online survey one and got it out of the way xP I didn't think the $10 was worth the hassle of physically going in to do an experiment.

The 5% takes the place of 5% of the exam's worth. So if you get 100% on the exam, there's no point in doing experimetrix unless you want money.
