I've heard that if you keep your card, McMaster will hunt you down. Each student ID card has a built in micro-GPS system that communicates with the McMaster satellite grid on a 24/7 bases. It derives its energy from the warmth of your pocket.

I remember a few years ago I saw some guy on the street talking to his friend about how he "totally just dropped out of engineering yo!" and kept his card. It was at that instant that a military class helicopter descendended from high overhead and 5 masked individuals wearing gear displaying the McMaster Engineering fireball repelled down from it by rope. The guy tried to run, and managed to dodge most of their ninja stars, but the helicopter's tracking beam got him and he was beamed away.

The whole thing happened in the blink of an eye; and then they were gone.

True story, seriously.

Nope.

And sometimes it allows for more and better discussion because the post did not receive many replies when initially posted.

The only time it really matters is if you're posting something with dated info: i.e. applying the 2007 MacPass to 2009 for example.
