Your thoughts about shopping Indie?
In my opinion...
Pros: Indie stuff generally tends to be much nicer (and sometimes more customized) than the usual mass-produced stuff you find in Old Navy or whatever.
Cons: Since the stuff is produced by artists, it tends to be more expensive (due to the labour and everything).
What are your thoughts?

The stuff at Kensington you can find is sooo nice, especially the stuff made out of bamboo! Just sooo expensive - like at least 80$ per piece :/

No idea what this is. I just buy random stuff that feels comfortable and is good for the weather at the time.

Some people can really pull off the look and it's worth it. Other people just end up looking really stupid. Personally I have very good fashion sense (mainly from being dragged to the mall by my female friends in high school) but nothing that looks half-way decent is manufactured in my freak size. Since I can't buy nice clothes I've completely outgrown caring about my own fashion sense. I mean it was a miracle that I even found a pair of shoes that fit right for me...
You just need to evaluate the cost of the clothing versus the reward. As a university student you could use all the spare change you can get.

I've been thinking about whether or not I can actually pull indie clothing off. It's really difficult to tell with some people.

I don't really care about labels, either; it's just that I tend to buy indie clothes more often.
Indie is basically anything that is not mainstream (music) or mass producted (clothes and whatnot). It tends to be more expensive, therefore.

So if you don't care, why pay more?
Seems as though you do have a problem with mainstream, thus, you care...

For some reason the first thing that comes to mind are people wearing scarves in the summer, sitting in starbucks drinking something with 20 syllables, typing screenplays on their ipads, and talking about how unique they are because they got the one "with the bigger gee-bees".
