Does anyone know how many of these are released each year? Is it just as many ppl that qualify? Mine was issued on the 20th!

BTW, I meant scholarship. But it won't let me edit! lol

I think it was awarded to those that had the highest averages in their high schools

I can't access the OSAP website right now so I can't really answer that question but as syaseen said, it's given to those with the top averages in their highschool.

Now what they mean by "top" I can't really say.

Ya the qualifications for this seem pretty conspicuous, but I guess I know why I got it. It would be interesting to know exactly what they mean though and how many people actually get it. Anyways I can say I was pretty happy getting it

People who receive 80+ averages get the scholarship, and I think it's based on financial need as well? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the scholarship values differ depending on your situation... the maximum you get I believe is $3500... I know some people who've gotten about $500, so yeah!

I got around 84-85ish and didn't get the scholarship, so its not just 80%+.

It does vary depending on your financial situation but only for the first time you get the scholarship.

If you win the lottery your scholarship won't decrease in value if you are able to renew it (9.5 SA required).

Ya I hear different stories about it and I guess some are wrong...why don't they just tell us what the requirements are? haha

The only thing I heard was that you needed high grades.
