The McMaster Science Society is having its first general meeting AND IT CONCERNS YOU!!

The Meeting will discuss many things including potential student fee increases and the new Academic Science Fund (which will allow the Sciences to have a large pool of money for initiatives ranging from student group ideas, to a science lounge, to a lab upgrade)

Not all fee increases are bad, especially the Academic Science Fund which will see the university contirbuting tens of thousands of dollars to it over the next few years!!

Either way, if you're for it or against it, you must come to the general meeting to decide on whether or not to have a referendum on the topic!!

As an SRA rep for Science, I cannot stress how important it is to come to this meeting!!

Thanks to all the science students that came out!!

We easily passed quorum which was actually around 110 (I think we had 140 out) and a large majority voted yes to have the increase in fees come to a referendum.

Look for more information about the referendum as it approaches in 2nd semester!!
