Binkley Hall, Good Off Campus Student Residences?
Hello to whom this concerns,

I had contemplated renting an Suite, at west village suites until I discovered this website and read the horror stories involving West Village Suites. I am suppressed to hear this despite it is one of the recommended buildings by the University. One of the alternatives they recommended was Brinkley Hall. I went to see it, it looked an OK place to live, management seemed polite enough, internet is provided. However I can't seem to find any reviews regarding Binkley Hall, except for two very short sentences that don't give any information. Can anyone recommend Binkley Hall or an alternative building? I am 198 on the waiting list and it seems unlikely that I will receive residency.

Thank you.

I know this response is waaaaayyyyy too late, but I just wanted to put it on the record that Binkley Hall is a very good place to live. I noticed some bad reviews from 2011, but new owners have taken over since then and they do a very good job. It is a small building, with only 45 beds spaces. It is actually a small school that was converted to a student residence-type place. It has a nice loft feel to it - high ceilings, exposed pipes in the ceilings, lots of nice, furnished common spaces. It is not owned by McMaster University, but is only a few blocks away from campus. The owners are George and Gemma - really nice people who care about the place, and the tenants.
