This is a very important point! I know people who are taking "bird" courses that they have zero interest in, and the result is the same every time.. They quickly become unmotivated and end up cramming for every test/assignment. Let me tell you, cramming for 8+ hours on material you couldn't care less about is AWFUL. Do yourself a favour and pick a class you're interested in. In the end, even if you have to work a little harder, the overall experience will be a lot more pleasurable. I've given up on "bird" courses. I'll stick to molecular biology and astrophysics, so much more fun =)
