I'm surprised no one has mention econ 2D03, this course is a joke.

whatttttt do NOT take Linguistics, there is an assignment/quiz every week and if you fall behind your 100% screwed. Maybe I just didn't do well in the course because out of my 5 classes it was at the very bottom of my priorities list, but there was a lot of content that even people who I knew that were planning to MAJOR in linguistics just flat out didn't understand.

Yeah, Linguistics is hit or miss. By the time you figure out if it's a hit or miss for you, it's generally too late to switch courses.

Is linguistics in second year a huge step up from first? How difficult is the material/evaluations compared to 1a03/aa3?

I'm no linguistics expert. I didn't even take any of the intro courses; rather I had multiple friends who did and I often attended lectures in spare time, so I know the pains of it.

In terms of difficulty, I suggest checking out course reviews on this website as well as the Rate My Prof profiles for the designated profs. All I know of upper year linguistics is that its much better than first year because you're past all the intro B.S, and the material is a hell of a lot more interesting.

You're asking the wrong person -____-

Is there a course review for big questions? I'm still deciding on some electives, but there aren't many comments about second year linguistics or big questions. Insight pl0x!

Has anyone taken psych2ap3 (abnormal psych). It seems pretty interesting, but I'm wondering how the workload/difficulty is, since I think my courses will be pretty heavy next year, what with orgo :(.

My social work friends doing their BA in psych said it was extremely interesting, but the tests are insanely difficult, none of them got anything above a 7. I'd suggest taking HLTH AGE 2G03 (Mental Health). I took it a few summers ago and loved it, there may be an essay so if you're not into essays it might not be for you.
