I don't think the tours go into the residences, but you can call McMaster to ask.

I'm pretty sure they are all the same size...well the double rooms that is. I know the ones with bathrooms are a bit bigger but that's because there's a bathroom inside it but the room is pretty much the same as a regular double room.

There's around....32 rooms (5-7 single rooms and the rest are doubles) with the exception of 1st floor which has less. I can't remember the exact number but I remember there were around 40+ people living in my floor when I lived there.

I was on second floor Whidden last year and I heard it was the substance free floor as well -- I reacted just the same way . But don't sweat it, if you didn't sign up for a substance free floor, its more then likely just talk.

Cheers!

I know they replaced the mattresses in 2008-2009.....nice memory foam mattress I personally didn't mind not adding a mattress pad...up to you if you like your bed to feel really soft.

There's a day in August called "Welcome Day", where you can go to Mac and basically check out the campus and take tours. You can also go to your residence building and see a sample room. Basically a few student volunteers will show you the layout of the floor, and a few specific rooms that they have opened for viewing. That's as close as you'll get to seeing how your room will look like. Hope that helps.

Depends on how many girls/guys are on the floor. I wasn't so keen on the idea of using a communal washroom but I got used to it. At least you don't have a washroom to clean.

Most floors have 12 single rooms + 21 double rooms = 33 rooms in total. I think floors 6 and 11 might have 13 single rooms, while the first floor has around 9 or 10 rooms.

Yeah, most are the same size. I think the double room with the washroom just seems bigger because it's square-shaped while the other rooms are rectangle-shaped.

Yes, the bathroom is inside.

Assuming the floor is evenly split between males and females, around 27 people share a bathroom (54 students on each floor divided by two). It sounds like a like but it honestly was never an issue in my experience since everyone has different schedules.
