Then you're going to have a HELL of a time fitting it in your room, haha.

I don't know what you could possibly be getting that would be very large; but I know in the past everything got loaded onto the bus and would get back to Mac that way.

I *think* that in the past IKEA offered delivery for big items at reduced rates for Mac students, but I don't recall for sure (or how much it was). The WW reps may well be finding that out, though, so give it a few more days. But, while very large purchases are rare due to room size constraints, I've seen students cram some pretty big things on the school buses nonetheless.

Every window in every residence building is supplied with some form of curtains if I'm not mistaken. The ones I had were the blue drapes, basically the exact same ones that you'll find in an elementary school. Not exactly the nicest looking things, but they did a great job of keeping the room dark if I slept in. I wouldn't tamper with the curtains that you have, I believe it's against the rules.

Indeed, I think it is as well.

Anyone know if we're allowed to have electric instruments into our rooms (eg. guitar, bass) that would require an amp of some sort? Or, is there certain restrictions in place relating to this?

Yep, you're definitely allowed to bring instruments like that. You just have to be considerate as to when you play them so you aren't disturbing your other floormates, but your CA will go over all that sort of stuff once you get there.

What size bed sheets should I bring? twin or dorm size. Dorm size just means their longer, so are the beds at mac longer?

Longer than a normal twin-sized bed? No. Sadly, they are the normal twin bed-sized.

Coldex is the company that deals with fridge rentals at McMaster. In the Residence Handbook it says that a fridge will usually cost 75 to 100 for 8 months, and they will deliver and pick up at the beginning and end of the school year. You can either pre-book the fridge from their website, or wait until Wednesday Sept. 5 when they will be at Mac. I believe that is the day of the sidewalk sale when all the restaurants/stores/companies come out to promote their products. It's one of my favourite things during Welcome Week. Here's the link: https://secure9.securewebexch ange....m/mcmaster.htm

if it costs $75-100 for 8 months, why don't you just buy one and keep it with you for another 3 year (or until it becomes unfixable).

i bought mine in may for only $100 (3 cubic foot, including cooler) at walmart, and it's not too big either...
