When to buy iclickers
Everyone says to hold out on buying textbooks until you're sure you need them but what about iclickers? If my textbook list says I need them, should I wait like with textbooks or is it safe for me to get one now?

Yup, same thing. Although since you are in sciences, you will very likely be needing them.
You can buy them anytime, but wait til your prof actually says you need one.
Can be bought at mac campus store. (Itl be packed!)

If you want to save money and not have to buy one, I will give you a tip.
Student Success Center always host little instructional seminars at the beginning of the semester. I can't remember the name of one of the session since its been awhile, but what they do is prep you for lectures. During this session, they hand out a bunch of iClickers so you can participate. Just hold on to them after the session and change the ID online and you are set.
Don't feel bad about it since I was told that they have a ton of iClickers. Mainly due to students losing it and never reclaiming it.

tip: you probably don't want to sell it after first year if you're planning on taking first year electives later. Most first year classes I was in required an iclicker. As the years go on they're used less often so you might get away with selling it and maybe re-buying one later, but there's no harm in holding on to it just in case because they'll still be in use (and therefore in demand) for a loooong time.
