Careers in Health Care
With a Honours biology degree, is there any well paying careers in health care that don't require a lot of schooling (like dentist, doctor)? They can be master programs or professional.

There are some Masters of Social Work programs that don't require a Bachelor of Social Work, you can get into medical social work (like what I'd like to do). U of T offers an MHsc in Health Administration. You can get your Masters of Public Health and get into health promotions. If you have the right courses you can do a nursing degree in less than four years. You could get a masters in bio and work as a research coordinator for clinical studies. There are tons of things you can do.

Thanks for the ideas. Do you know what kind of jobs do you get after medical social work? Is that a master program?

If you're interested in doing an Masters in Health Administration (MHsc) you can get into a lot of management position within a hospital setting. Might be working in policy analysis, making sure the hospital runs efficiently, etc. For me, I'd like to get my Masters of Social Work, then possibly do the health administration degree in the future for social work management jobs in a hospital setting.

Here's some info about the program!

you could also do a diploma at a a college or something for a year and work as a respiratory therapist, etc, radiation therapy. Check out the Michener Institute for Health Sciences at UofT, some science grads go into their programs, which is a year or 2. Also you could go to teachers college, which is another year. Or work as a Research Assisant, depending on how much experience you have.
