chances of reinstatement
Hey Guys had a question about reinstatement. What are the chances of getting reinstated if you have finished 3/5 courses with B avg. I was going to finish 4 courses before end of june but Something came up with my family and i missed my exam for a courses which i will be retaking in 2 weeks. I just wanted to know would they reinstate looking at the marks of the 3 courses that are finished. And i can provide the marks for the last 2 course by end of july.

Depends on the program you applied for but
they look at the average of your top 6 U Courses. Of course if there were mandatory courses like Calculus, Biology, or Chemistry they would have to be included in those top 6. And I think English is pretty much mandatory for entry into any program.

Nobody can tell you your chances given that information, and even if you were to give us all the necessary info, the best you could get here is a guess - no different from what you could guess yourself.

Do this guarantee success for reinstatement. Contact the Dean of your department. Information listed on McMaster website. Only email provides so you must email them first but do not talk about reinstatement. Ask make appointment one on one. Then come and discuss about reinstatement face to face. Describe situation you have and make sure Dean has written down student number and stuff. Likely that Dean will refer you to proper people overseeing this process. Ask for their information and repeat. Get personalized with them and they will get you back in. Good luck.
