Chem in the summer at Mac?
Hi, so I am taking Chem 1A03 and Chem 1AA3 in the summer, and I was just wondering if I should do both of them at Mac? Or is chem in the summer easier at, lets say, UTM or UofT as compared to Mac? Thanks

First year chem is first year chem. Easiness is subjective.

Your marks won't count towards your McMaster CA if you don't do them at Mac.

but if I apply to graduate school and they need to look at my chem marks they will be able to pull out my file and see how I did in chem, regardless what school i went to, right?

Yes...I really can't see any graduate school caring how you did in first year chemistry, though.

You need to get a higher grade than you would at Mac for the credit to transfer, and it won't even contribute to your CA (for the purposes of scholarships/Dean's list, etc).

Unless convenience is a huge issue, I don't think there's any reason to do it somewhere else instead of Mac.

As with all courses, it's compressed but you also don't have a bunch of other courses at the same time. Idk what your other summer plans are.

If you're taking one course during the summer and doing nothing else, then obviously it'll be easier than taking the same course during the year with four other courses.
However, some people find they need a lot of time to practice/process, and so they tend to find summer courses challenging because of the compressed nature.

I dropped 1aa3 during the year took it in the summer. I "thought" I did well but every test I came out with like 60s or less. I took it during the summer. It was definetly easier but I also thought the guy teaching was alot better. I scored 7 on the course
