Combining Degrees
What are you combining to your degree?

I'm wondering what programs people are double majoring/major-minoring in as a combination...

ALSO, does anyone know if its possible to combine a non-honours degree, with an honours degree as a double major? If not, if its possible to make a non-honours degree an honours degree somehow? (taking more courses or something)

I'm curious as to some of the combinations of programs students are mixing as right now the two degrees I'm interested aren't both offered on the undergraduate calender as honours degrees. And if I'm SOL, maybe someone can shed some insight onto degree variations for me

Hopefully next year I'll be doing Social Work and Sociology.

I have a degree in Cultural Studies and Anthro already, and will be graduating with a degree in English and a minor in Indigenous Studies.

Most programs do not allow you to have a combined program in an honours discipline and a non-honours discipline, with the exception of Social Work. For example, I will have 42 units of Indigenous Studies when I finish in April, but ISP doesn't have an honours degree, so all I can finish with is a minor.

Is there a specific program you were looking at?

@lorend - I was thinking of combining Social Work (if I get admitted into the program) with something unique... (most of the degrees that I've noticed that are unique to Mac are only offered as honours) like linguistic cognitive science or cultural studies and critical theory, or indigneous studies...

But I guess you already answered that for me,

If I'm not mistaken you can combine BSW and Indigenous Studies, although I'm not completely sure.

But you can talk to the ISP Student councilor:
