Course appearing available to one student but full to another?
Hi. I was just wondering why on SOLAR a certain course appear available to one student but full to another?
I'm not a bio major but I'd like to take one or two biology courses as my electives so this year, I wanted to take Mol Bio 3H03 and Mol Bio 3HH3 but on SOLAR, it always appeared as 'full' so I asked my friend to check it and when she did, it appeared open.
Is it because they are waiting for all the bio students to fill up the seats first (those who require the course for their degree)? And if so, is there any way I can register for it? (who should I contact? the instructor or the registrar's office?)
Thank you so much in advance!

Yeah they have seats reserved for those who are required to take it.

As for who to contact, not sure since I never tried contacting anyone to get into a course.
Heard from other people that they tried contacting the prof.

You can contact the department that the course belongs to. But just wait until August 11, that's when the seats should open to everyone.

It's open for me, I decided today to take it as an elective and got it on solar.

I seriously doubt you won't get into Nucleus or Cytoplasm if you keep checking.
