i'm kind of confused..
but anyways i was just wondering so let's say i'm taking polisci 1a06 at the same time semester 1 and 2, does this mean the tutorial has to be at the same time for the semester as well!? cause the tutorial i want to take first semester, theres a class at that time 2nd semester.. get it?!?!

and did anyone find out for sure if we can choose our tutorials on SOLAR!?!

Yes, you need to take the same tutorial for both terms.

as for the tutorials...not yet. You're asking the worst people. Fourth and third year classes typically dont' have many tutorials.

orry i hate to be repetitive but.. i have to take each core 1, 2 and 3 and pick a corresponding tutuorial for each? that seems impossible to coordinate. Or do i just pick one core and tutorials and those are my classes for both semester one and two?

and we have to wait for the date solar is open to our faculty and year right?

yup, otherwise Solar won't do anything for you. You don't have to take the same number core as tutorial (ie, if you are in core 1, you don't have to take tutorial 1, you could take tutorial 2 ect.) However, in some instances, a core section will have a set of corresponding tutorials (students in core 1 can pick from tutorials 1 to 4, students in core 2 can pick from tutorials 5 to 8, ect).

Just a general question about course selections; how important is it to have a balanced number of courses both terms? Two of my electives (communication 1A03 and psych 1X03) are in term 1, so I'll end up having 6 courses in term 1 and 4 in term 2. Is this a bad thing?

It's not a good thing...especially for your first ever term of university, where you have a lot to get used to.

Term one you're automatically going to have 18 hours (one class = 3 hours, 3x6=18) of class. That doesn't count labs and additional work you will be spending on essays, assignments or studying for tests.

If you obey the "rule" (three hours spent prepping for class for each hour of class time) you're going to be spending 54 hours during the week doing prep work. There are only 120 hours M-F.

hi, i had a question about the 1st year psych courses.

C13 Mo 12:30 13:20 1 PC/154
T25 Tu 13:30 14:20 1 BSB/B206
T26 Th 12:30 13:20 1 BSB/B206
so thats what it looks like on the master timetable, and theres a bunch more of these. so i understand you pick one core, but i heard that the lectures were online, so do i only pick one tutorial or both?

You only "pick" one tutorial.

At present there is no option when you do your course selection for you to choose what tutorial or lab section you will be in.
