Dec. Move-out Day
I got an email saying I have to leave the day after my last exam (Dec 18)
How strict is that enforced? I mean, they can't lock the res until everyone is finished their exams, right?

well, they can lock out your access card from getting in, I think I heard about that happening last year.
you can always apply for an extension if you need to stay in res longer.

the CAs have a list of everyone on their floor with the last day your allowed to be there.
they will kick you out if your there later without an extension, its their job
pretty strictly enforced

Pretty sure that if you use your card after your move in date, you'll get charged for an extra days stay.
At least, that's what one of my CA's said.

You can still apply for an extension, just pay a visit to the Res Admissions Office in Commons. Otherwise, your access card will be deactivated at 12pm on the day you're supposed to move out.

Okay, thank you!
I wasn't really planning on staying for an extra day or anything, I was just wondering like, what if I forgot something and had to come back later.

easiest thing is to ask your roommate to bring it down for you

When I was in rez our CAs were pretty lax about this rule...as long as you're not being loud and disrupting students still studying for their exams they tend to look the other way. However, they will strictly enforce it if you are being disruptive!
