How do I format my External Hard Drive?
I just got a 500GB external harddrive, but it's in Mac format. I want to format it in Windows format. What do? It's not showing up in My Computer, and when I go into Disk Management, I don't see any option for formatting.

EDIT: The harddrive is Verbatim Store'n'Go Firewire 800/USB 3.0 For Mac

Solution: http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/

Otherwise you're going to need access to a MAC.

Not really. There are plenty of tools out there that let you format a "Mac Drive" (called HFS+) to a "windows drive" (typically NTFS), as opposed to the one above, which requires you to spend some of your hard-earned OSAP money.

What you could do is take it to one of the macs in the library, then reformat it as fat32.. this will show up in windows. Then you can take it home, and use your computer to format it as ntfs
