What does it mean to be reinstated?
From what I know, if a student performs poorly, they're required to take a year off, then get reinstated. But once they get reinstated, what happens?

1.Does their transcript get cleared? Does their GPA get reset to zero?

2. What does this mean if they want to transfer programs within McMaster? If their GPA gets reset and they do well, can they switch into a different program from just their new GPA?

3. What does this mean for applying to a grad school that looks at the GPA of all years?

Thanks!

I'm too lazy to type it all out but it's all on the registrar's website.

I was going to do the whole "let me google it for you" gig, but I thought drinking bleach would be more productive.

There are a lot of posts on this forum regarding reinstatement.

For #3, the grad school will see that you did badly, dropped out, and got reinstated, cos they see everything. If you get all 12s afterward they won't mind. If you get middling marks after reinstatement they'll probably hold reinstatement against you.
