Oh, and definitely watch the Pest last because like I said, it's REALLY stupid and I don't want you to judge Repo prematurely and not watch it.

Unless you've been told otherwise, it's almost impossible to know. Do you use any sort of more tangible criteria?

a) What does it take for you to watch a movie in general?
and
b) What does it take for you to watch a movie in theatres? (ie: spend money on it)

For me, the answer is the same regardless.

If it has Joaquin Phoenix in it, music composed by Hans Zimmer or John Williams, is based on a comic/graphic novel or based around some sort of fantasy world, I'll go see it. If I ever watch a movie that doesn't fall under those categories, it's only out of sheer boredom and the fact that I can't find anything else to do with my life at that moment.

WBU?
You had me at JOAQUIN PHOENIX.

A movie first has to meet or exceed the epic proportions, intensity, acting skills, theme song and writing of the first two minutes of this video.
Not many movies can match this shows epicness.

I second Repo. I hate musicals, but that was pretty epic.

Also, Godfather 1 and 2. Great movies, and are fantastically long to kill some time for you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME TO KILL ON THE THIRD< EVEN IF YOU HAVE WEEKS TO KILL. Your time could be spent doing something more worthwhile, like reading a book, adopting a puppy, or gnawing off your own arm.

Alien and Aliens are good for some time killin' as well.
