Can someone please tell me about the difficulty level of these courses! I only have a day left to decide!
I've taken linguitics and enjoyed it. A course is "easy" if you find it interesting or perceive it to be.

first year french, 1Z06 is a pretty easy class. it is all year round though so it may be hard to fit in but it is definitely worth it!

Inquiry 1SS3? I didn't find it difficult and it was a pretty good (useful) course. It's main goals are to help you develop your skills in researching, planning and writing papers, setting/reaching goals, and working in groups. There is no midterm or exam in this course, which I really liked, gives you one less course to worry about come exam time.

French 1z06
I didn't take the course, but my room mate did and she ended up with a 12 with minimal work. It doesn't seem to be a very difficult course as long as you go to every class. It is a 6 credit course so if you do well it could really boost your average. And, it's a not a demanding course, so it should take up less of your time than other courses (especially for science students).

You can take this course only if you have little/no background in french (grade 10 french or less). It is a beginner's course.

I was jus wondering is physics 1B03 and 1BB3 are easy or not. I am in Life Sci and the reason i am taking 1BB3 aswell is cause alot of med schools require a full year of physics so i think this would meet that requirement but im not sure if i should do it if it will reduce my gpa. My other elective is economics, i wanted to take enviro 1A03 but that was conflicting with physics 1BB3, so im not entirely sure of the relative difficulties and which would help me towards med school.

It would be great is someone could help out!

Is it really as easy as Grade 12 French? I've read the undergraduate calendar, and it said that it is a pre-req for 1A06, which would mean that it's equivalent to it.

1B03 is not easy. While it is mostly high-school material, the questions on tests often require more steps or thought than they did on high-school tests. That said, if you actually learned physics in high-school (and not how to just plug in numbers in to an equation) and if you keep on top of your work, you can do well. Labs are a mark booster, but the midterms can be brutal.

I can't speak for 1BB3, as I took 1BA3 (Introduction to Modern Physics and Quantum Mechanics). 1BA3 was hard as hell.

It's entirely possible to take your 1BB3 in your second year, or your enviro 1A03 in second year, so keep that in mind.

thanks for the reply its really helpful however im still wondering if someone could tell me about 1BB3 (is it helpful for the mcat, difficulty..), there is very little talk about this course in different threads. If 1bb3 isnt important i was wondering if taking physics 1L03 and 1B03 would count as a full year of physics?
Thanks for the help

1L03 will not count for your year of physics requirement because it has no lab components. It basically reteached high-school physics, and is a waste of time and money. Avoid it!

Anyone know any classes where you do not have to do readings? IE, a great mark can come from thorough understanding of just lecture notes?

... I'm pretty sure a majority of classes are like that especially lower year classes. Probably not humanities courses though. So far from the 32 courses I've taken, I've only attended classes all the way to the end for like... maybe 5-7 of them? Both Orgos (Although you can argue that you don't need to attend that class either), 2 English, 1 Philos... Uhhh, I think I attended a lot of Biochem 2B03 classes too, I could have probably skipped lectures but it would have taken longer to learn the material. I think that's about it.
