Linguistics 1AA3 is pretty good. It's actually easier than 1A03.

Linguistics 2SY3 (Syntax) and Linguistics 2L03 (Phonetics) were really good. They were offered this semester though. but if you're taking some linguistics courses this coming semester, there is 2S03 (Sociolinguistics), 2E03 (Slang to Formal Discourse)

I'd just like to point out that econ1b03 may not be as easy as it was in the past. A couple of changes were made from previous years such as the exam being shortened to 2 hours. I would not consider it to be a bird course anymore, but as with any other course you have to put in the time and effort!

Haha, I don't really have any music background, although I'm interested in the course! I'm wondering why gg3 and ww3 aren't listed in the biology course list for my degree. Otherwise, I'd take them for sure, since I'm having trouble finding enough courses to take from that list :S.

To the previous poster who was asking about Ling1AA3:
There was no iClicker participation in my year, however you were given marks for answering problems in tutorial .

I would advise not to take Geog 1HB3 unless the material truly seems interesting to you. I for one, found most of the material really boring and ended up barely reading through the textbook and taking notes etc. Still managed to get a 10 in the course, but I was like wondering the entire time how I did on the exam. We were given some weird MC questions which don't test your knowledge of any topics covered in the course but memorization of what topic was discussed in lecture X.

Oh man...I fail...I misread your post a few posts back. Thought you were asking for any second year electives, not just linguistics lol.

But yea..incase you need non-linguistics electives, the best part about those courses I listed above is that you don't need any prior knowledge about them

no, there is no iclicker participation, at least when I took it. I think this year they have a different prof and I don't know how she runs the class. I had Dr. Stroinska and I think this year Dr. Anderson is teaching the course.
