I find 'easy' can be subjective based on your individual strengths and weaknesses. I was interested in the subject matter for these courses (with the exception of stats...) so I was able to do better due in part to that as well.

Some I'd suggest (you can see my reviews for these courses in the reviews section, as well as hundreds of others):
  • Indigenous Studies 1A03 (and presumably 1AA3, which I didn't have the chance to take)
  • Anthro 1A03
  • Anthro 2A03
  • Anthro 2G03
  • Stats 2J03
  • English/CSCT 2J03
  • English/CSCT/Indigenous Studies 3X03/3D03
  • English/CSCT/Indigenous Studies 3X03/3E03
  • Poli Sci/Indigenous Studies 3C03/3J03

I hate to be one of those people who say again and again that you can't really tell which courses are easy, but it's TRUE! It's hard to gauge interest and easiness, and often times a course that one person says is easy isn't easy for someone else and/or the course is purposely made harder for succeeding years because people dub these courses as "bird courses".

Many humanities/soc sci courses are open to anyone. I chose some pretty "random" humanities/social sciences courses because their course descriptions interested me and ended up enjoying the courses and doing well. I would recommend the same.

I guess I would suggest English 1B03 though. That was one of the easier ones I took. I heard it was similar to English 2J03, as suggested above.

Apparently it isn't offered next year! Otherwise I'd have suggested that as well as 1BB3.

From now on, when people ask for easy courses we should tell them hard/boring courses.

All of the Econ courses, and a lot of the Poli Sci?

Poli Sci 1g06, anthro 1a03 (the one with arratia) were the easiest courses I've had so far.

I find them easy b/c I just had to read the textbook. Yay.

the ones that i've taken that are easy and enjoyable:

multimedia 1a03
french 1z06
and as Danielle mentioned, indigenous studies 1a03 and 1aa3 are easy as well. that's it for what I've taken, everything else was hard for me

Check out the reviews .. there are tonnes there.

I found Anthro 1b03 (intro to archaeology) pretty laid back, the long term paper was probably the only thing you really had to sit down with. It was also Semi-interesting, though I forgot 90% of the material because its not exactly my cup of tea.

I took Canada Geography, a second year course, and got a VERY good mark in it.
But I don't remember a single thing about that class - no exaggeration. So I don't know if that's good or bad.

Linguistics 1A03 and 1AA3. Longest assignment took me about an hour to do, and you have roughly a week to do them, depending on your tutorial schedule.
