Umm never said i jhust found it out... dont know why you gotta hate like that. Just was posting something i found ammusing. And yeah what was even funnier was after that awesome lift, the PRK weightlifter said if it werent for Kim Jong Il, he would have never won the medal. Makes you realize that maybe our perspective is much different than those actually living in North Korea of the way the country is run.
Saw a pretty good Judo fight too between PRK and Cuba for gold, PKR won it. Still dont get how that sport is scored, The only point in the match looked like a move that had been done at least 10 other times throughout the fight

just an addition to your point, and not pertaining to the Olympics at all-NorthKorea, Iran, countries like these that the West hates on and tells its citizens that they have "WMDs" and are vicious dictatorships...maybe they're just normal countries that don't wanna fall to the Ameri-centricism that the rest of the world has fallen to?

That's a nice thought, but no, North Korea is actually a terrible terrible place to live. Iran is not so bad, unless you're a woman, or politically outspoken.

The West is a semi corrupt mess of neoliberalism, capitalism, consumerism, and all that fun stuff, but at least we don't overtly oppress our people. We keep that shit subliminal.

So the answer is not that maybe those places aren't so bad after all, but that all places are terrible in their own way.
