When Are Exam Marks Out?
When/where do we see our exam marks? Also, do we have a chance to discuss our exam marks with our profs before the final mark is submitted?
Also, does anyone know why the MATH 1F03 website doesn't work? Link: http://www.math.mcmaster.ca/~mcleac3...03/main1F.html
Thanks~! <3

You can already see marks on your grade report?
Does anyone else not have a section on their grade report for grades for the 2010 session?

No idea about grade report... The exam mark was added to AVE and your final grade was calculated

They're really not allowed to do that...
For sure you won't get an update on grade report (i.e., don't bother checking) until after the date when grades start being released.
The final exam/essay/whatever it is should also not be disclosed on Avenue until that date, and then they can put up the final exam mark if they want to.
That's really the only point when you should bother trying to discuss marks with your professors, because until then you're not going to know your final mark anyway.

I had an exam on the 8th at 7:30pm. The final grades for the class were submitted on the 10th by noon or so.

If I got an 84.83 as a final grade, does that mean its an A or an A- on the grade scale? What's the procedure for rounding?

The first day of releasing grades is the first day of the break, so not before Dec 23rd, and it goes all the way to January based on how early your exam was and how fast it was marked and such. And yes, depending on the class, you're allowed to go view your exam and talk to the prof about any disrepancies, obviously not what you got= that's it. There's ways to negotiate, but it's VERY variable per course and prof.

MMEDIA 1A03's exam was the 14th at 9AM, marks were on AVE as of the 15th at 9AM, which was surprisingly fast considering the exam was 15 short answer questions and 8 paragraphs worth 85 marks... Go figure! Some serious speed marking..
