And I don't even know who gave em the right to bash auto tune lol. It's almost as bad as soulja boy rappin with snoop dogg. Go figure lol
Somebody needed to say some **** about all the autotune we're hearing these days. When the kids that we were (past tense) expecting to inherit the game, like Drake, are now almost only putting out shit autotuned tracks, someone needed to say something.

Anyway, Jay should've retired after Black Album like he planned to, but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the best to have ever been in the game; does the fact Nas, Snoop, and Em have a few **** albums take away from the fact that they're some of the best in the game?

I was expecting a Radiohead album somewhere considering your signature.

I buy my vinyls at stores. Cheapies or Dr. Disc in Hamilton, but every two or three months I'll go down to Queen St. in Toronto. There's Rotate This! Criminal Records. I also like to check out Soundscapes in Little Italy. I got Loveless at Rotate This, I think it was about 22 bucks.

I've only visited Cheapies and they didn't have what I was looking for. I'll be visiting the ones you've mentioned, thanks. One more question, do you know where to get cheap turntables at? The ones I see are usually in the hundreds. My dad destroyed our retro one...

No idea, I'd suggest looking either online or electronic stores that specialize in audio/video. Wish I could be of more help

yea man I hear you...only T-Pain shouldve used autotune. Now everybody is using it and it's getting annoying. There had to be someone to confront autotune, but it wasn't Jay-z. It was KRS-One...he came out with a single called "Robot" months before Jay-Z. But, Jay-Z took the whole idea and brought it in mainstream, since hes a commercial rapper and w/o giving any credits. There is an interview on this issue.

This wasn't the first time Jay-z has bit off of other rappers though. Even Nas dissed him about stealing the name of his album "Blueprint". I agree with you that Nas, Snoop and Em are legends. But I don't have that respect for Jay-z.

Lol I figured a lot of people would recommend radiohead so I didn't bother. Although I really dig their new album "In Rainbows".

I don't know where your musical interest lie so it is hard to recommend albums. Also, those were just some off the top of my head and I'm sure you don't want huge lists from every user. It is much easy to skim through a few albums.

Here are some more:

John Frusciante - The Empyrean
My Morning Jacket - The Tennessee Fire
G. Love - Lemonade
The Tragically Hip - Fully Completely
Mad Season - Above
Pete Yorn - The Morning After

Anyways, I much prefer recommending songs then I can mix and match my favourites.

Strange Beautiful Music - Joe Satriani
Train of Thought - Dream Theater

Oh crap, I totally didn't see that last night! I agree, Sleater-Kinney was one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I just got into them last year and I would've killed to have seen them live. I think that ending with The Woods was a smart thing, it was their loudest and most abrasive album yet, so they really went out with a bang. And as a drummer, I really obsess over Janet Weiss, she's so badass.
