That's what I thought, I was just correcting something said earlier.

Most engineers opt to take Econ 1B03 in first year. It's def one of the easier courses and it is also is a prerequisite for the Management option in second year. The prof is also nice (I think she was nice enough) and luckily, there are no iclicker Q in this course so attendance doesn't count. All in all, super good stuff.

Oh they must've changed it. I had to do an essay for both 1X03 and 1XX3. I still have my 1X03 essay. Good times.

Also, if you're looking for other easy electives, I'd recommend:

Enviro Sci 1B03, 1A03
Music 1A03, 1AA3

Environmental Science 1A03 is definitely 12'able if you attend all lectures, write down notes, and memorize them before the midterm and exam. Also, the labs are very easy to do well if you put in a decent amount of effort into them. The course was a little boring and dry at times though.

They're both relatively easy, but 1B03 is easier. Holmes makes her tests crazy easy. A couple years ago (last year?) during a TA strike she made the midterm an online one and was somehow surprised that everyone cheated. She tried to compensate for it somehow in the marking scheme, but I don't think she did much.

Not at all.

You may have an advantage if you took the class in high school but that's it. It doesn't hurt you if you've never dealt with economics before.

It's really basic, and I wouldn't say you'll find it challenging having not taken high school Economics.
