First year questions about Soc. Sciences and PNB
I'm getting into the social sciences next year and i'm planning on going into PNB second year. However, I am a little nervous for finalizing my selected courses, so i was wondering if i get some assistance from here since the registrar isn't open now and their due early next week. I want to take courses that are very research oriented. what courses can i take in first year that will get me into more research based courses later on? and please provide the prerequisites for them as i dont have 12u bio(taking equivalent) or advanced functions. any urgent help is greatly appreciated! thanks!

Well, I'm assuming you're looking for PNB (B.Sc.), http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/pnb...aduate/BSc.pdf

Since you haven't taken grade 12 bio, you'll have to take BIO 1P03

I would go for Math 1LS3, considering it is the easier of the two. You will also have to take MATH 1K03, before you can take 1LS3.

Well, you'd certainly want to take those Bio courses because they have labs, and that's always a major plus!!

I checked, not sure if this is correct but.... If you're in Social Sciences, you cannot take Bio Courses (Well, Bio IAO3 anyways, as it showed error on mine. I already have a Grade 12 Bio credit, but I'm not a student from Faculty of Sciences.) :( I wanted to take this course!

Although on the requirement list it said you COULD take Bio 1AO3 OR a grade 12 credit in bio. Is there any way I can get into Bio 1A3 Program still?????????

Ahh, you should try e-mailing them, BIO 1A03 classes usually have room in them! Like I know people from stats who took that course!

fatimaa says thanks to thuks0251 for this post.

call an academic advisor for social sciences or make an appt to go and see them if your close enough. It is much faster than emailing them.
