You don't need to get a BIOS update most of the time to install a new processor. If it's the same pin layout, it should work.
Just make sure the motherboard supports the processor bus speed (it does like 99% of the time... but it's always good to make sure).

Check out the ones ive already mentioned in this thread. I strongly recommend ASUS or Lenovo, and stay away from all other brands (thats the general rule I go by). Let me know if you have any more questions, but yeah, VGA ports and HDMI ports are pretty standard for laptops now.

Low build quality. Sure they might be using the same CPU model as you could get in a much higher priced ASUS/Lenovo/MSI/etc., and have the same amount/speed of RAM, but the RAM is probably lower quality and might be faulty, the motherboard is going to be of shoddier quality, the screen is likely to have worse colour representation, the case will be more fragile... all kinds of things like that.

Not to mention that ASUS and Lenovo warranty is top notch should something go wrong
