I was disappointed in buying it. The only thing worth while was the karaoke/air band... everything else was not worth the money.

Actually I compared this to my friends at other schools and when they looked at a breakdown of their fees an "orientation events" fee was included. At Mac that fee is just optional in the form of the MacPass.

Wait, when is Frosh Week this year? And when do classes start? *already forgot his entire first year*

I had very little fun last year at Frosh Week. It was actually fairly boring. ._.; Though I did enjoy doing a bit of limbo with my faculty leaders. I WAS IN SECOND PLACE...AND I LOST TO SOME GIRL. >:C -shakes fist at seemingly no one-

Do you mean the Tuesday or the Saturday concert?

Doesn't matter, either one.

It really depends on how involved you want to get.
When I got mine last year I thought it was well worth it. I enjoyed it and met a lot of new people that way. But if your planning to skip a lot of the events then skip the mac pass.

On one hand, I want to buy one....... but the cons outweigh the pros for me:

PROS
-meet new people, profs, etc etc. all that fun stuff
-party, have fun!

CONS
-Since I'm in the music program, I'm not really fond of getting shirts that say "Humanities".. I know this isn't that big of a deal but at the same time I don't want to spend money on shirts that don't have the name of my program on them technically
-I am living off-campus, and all of my other friends that are living off campus are not going to the night events. And even if, say, I wanted to meet up with my friends who are in res and get ready with them then leave, I can't since they're not allowed to have guests. And going by myself then meeting up with them at the events seems awkward
-To be honest.. some of the events don't appeal to me.

The only reason I would want to go is to attend the nightly socials and possibly one of the concerts. I'm planning on going to the sidewalk sale and clubfest too, but those are free right? Sooo I probably won't spend $125 on a MacPass. :S

buy the mac pass if regardless! whether you want to meet other people from your faculty, or want to see the football game. one way or another it pays to have the macpass with you.
and its frosh! it only lasts one week out of your whole entire university career. make it worth something, you wont regret it!
