Haha, no it's not a rival frosh week. In fact, the idea of having the MSA host some of its own welcome week events was advertised by FYEO last year in order to accommodate first year students who were fasting. The MSA found that it worked very well last year in welcoming Muslim students and making them feel comfortable with the facilities on campus that the average Muslim needs.

In general though, the events also provide an opportunity for those who are looking to become familiar with both McMaster and McMaster's Muslim Students' Association to see what the MSA is all about, beyond what they see at Clubsfest. The MSA encourages all first-years, or even upper years, who are interesting in learning more about the MSA and what kind of initiatives the club runs on campus to come check out the events. All McMaster students are more than welcome!
