Getting a head start in Tron
Bleh, I'm tired of sitting around (no one is hiring:( ).

So instead of wasting away, I want to at least learn something. I'm thinking of either a programming language that Mechatronics II students work with or anything course related.

Anyone have course sites (if their still up), Names of some textbooks that were used, or just info on what to learn?

My first term courses are:
-MATH 2Z03
-MECH ENG 2Q04
-ENGINEER 2P04
-ENG PHYS 2A04
-SFWR ENG 2S03

Cure my boredom

Some of last year's sites:

http://engphys.mcmaster.ca/undergrad.../2a04/2a04.htm
http://imps.mcmaster.ca/courses/SE-2S03-09/
http://www.math.mcmaster.ca/~bprotas/MATH2Z03/

I heard 2S03 is changing a bit this year, there's a thread on it somewhere here. I think they're using C++ now which you could start to learn. 2Q04 and 2A04 have a lot of stuff that is review from Physics 1D03 and 1E03, respectively. If you still have your physics textbook you could look through some electricity and magnetism stuff again. I'm not sure what else you could learn from first term on your own, most of material isn't too bad if you go to class and follow the work.

Eng 2P04 is on Elm, but if you ask around I'm sure someone will have copies of the problem sets (they're not marked though) and shell lecture notes to send.
