That means you don't have to learn another fact of the day for another 22 hours since it's 2AM!

When in doubt, Google.
Hopefully we all survive next year without getting sick at Pillers.

Well, the dirt pill more refers to the fact that dirt is full of living stuff, no matter what. Playing around in mud is how most kids built up an immune system in the past, after all. It's not like live bacteria is ALWAYS harmful. Sometimes it's beneficial!
I think it's just ridiculous that people are so cautious over everything possible thing that MIGHT covered in germs. The fact is that everything's covered in germs, and it helps us survive. If anyone actually gets sick from Piller's next year, I bet it won't be because of not using gloves. I think it'd be more because of bad food!

Oh ya, that's true. It's still good to get vaccinated against things you don't typically encounter in ordinary dirt or in harmless immune-system building quantities (i.e. meningitis, polio, tetanus, whatever turned everyone into zombies in 28 Days Later .etc).

Yeah. I got my tetanus shot and I had to get my hep A-typhoid for travel reasons.
Contrary to what the Ontario Government says, getting a flu shot is kind of silly unless you're immune compromised or elderly.

Ya I know, especially when getting the flu isn't exactly life threatening 99% of the time. It seems so stupid that the government is wasting money on a "swine flu" vaccine when under a hundred people in Canada have died from it...
lol, I had to get a Rabies vaccination for travel reasons a few years back :p

But part of the point of getting a flu shot is to help ensure the immuno-compromised aren't in contact with people who can get the flu. That's why all hospital/medical staff have to get one.

Strange, my mom doesn't get the flu shot and she works for a hospital.
The problem is that the flu shot only protects against predicted strains of the influenza virus. They've been wrong before. Plus, the flu can spread through contaminated surfaces.
Dillon - :p more people have died from the regular flu than from swine flu. But, I blame the media more than the government with this issue.
There are better ways to prevent the spread of flu:
- teaching people how to wash their hands properly
- coughing into your sleeve/tissue rather than your hands
Dillon - where did you go to? My travel doctor told me to get the rabies shot since there are a lot of stray dogs in India. I refused out of principle. :p

It was Mongolia. The Doctor told me the same thing; there are stray rabid dogs everywhere. I didn't see one dog the entire time I was there... not even in the main city of Ulaan Bataar (They seem to keep changing how that's spelled).
