Go into second year with 21 units?
Soooo I might fail 3 courses this term. Can I still go into a level 2 program with 21 units?

Also I'm planning to take 2 summer school courses. Will they be included with my first year units?

minimum is 24 (for humanities, at least).

that's not even possible.
first year's total units would add up to 30.

Here is my program stream. We need 37 units to get into second year. With one more 3-unit course, it would be 40 units.

Edit: I don't think the electives are counted towards second year as they only look at the compulsory courses. So make that 31 units.

Okay, so as a general rule, things are different with the engineering faculty. So if you're not in engineering, don't listen to anyone from that faculty tell you how things work, and vice versa.

Obviously there are differences between other faculties as well, but not quite as significant.

I thought this too. However, I will only have 21 3rd year credits completed by Sept. 2013 and the humanities dept. is putting me in level 4 anyway so I can take 4th year seminars.
