Guitar lessons
hey guys so I just bought an acoustic guitar, and I am really interested in learning how to play. I have never played before but have been interested in it. So I was wondering if there was anyone that would be willing to help me learn how to play, I know there were a lot of forums about guitar enthusiasts so I would really appreciate it any knowledge you would be willing to share! =)

I taught guitar all throughout highschool. What exactly are you interested in learning? Do you want to just learn popular songs, theory, both?
Get excited! The first couple months are tricky, but if you stick with it it's totally worth it. After a couple months, it's cake!
Cudos on choosing the coolest instrument, btw.

Before you go and have your lessons, IMHO, it's better to learn the basics by yourself.
Memorize the major, minor, major 7th, and minor 7th's on your own.
DO NOT PRACTICE DURING LESSONS. After learning as much as you can during the lesson, go home and practice... a lot... Do not spend time trying to get everything right and practicing in front of the instructor as you'll only waste your money. Use the time allotted for lessons to communicate with your teacher regarding theory, technique, and to show him a little bit of how you play in order to correct your technique.
It is wise to always bring a small notebook with you and to take down notes during the lesson.
Good luck!
PS. It is better to practice everyday for 15 minutes instead of playing once a week for 105 minutes straight.

I just love some good company while playing.

Nice instrument choice .
I dont mind giving lessons either, i have been playing for a while and teach a few kids in my area. And yea like VH said go through a little before going for lessons.
Learn a scale or 2 and just work on a little speed in changing, that way when you do learn, you pick it up faster.
Nice guitars btw ^

If you ever need help learning a song, hit me up.
You might feel less intimidated with a girl.
And to be honest, I could use some motivation to learn some new songs. xD
