EDIT: 560M is an actual graphics card, right? So I can always just swap it with a 580M instead of buying a new laptop, unless they are very different in size and pins and whatnot.

The best deal imo

Gah Iunno. What do you guys think. @ [email protected]; When I customized the Satori one, it was a bit expensive imo. Iunno. I might go with the Asus one.

Well, the Asus one, which turns out is actually an ROG class, too:
- 17.3-inch LED-backlit Full HD display for immersive cinematic experience with resolution up to 1920 x 1080
- 2nd generation Intel Core i7-2670QM processor with Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology for the best visibly smart performance that adapts to your needs
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM for leading DirectX 11 gaming
- NVIDIA 3D Vision active shutter glasses for top-of-the-line optics with 2x the resolution per eye and ultra-wide viewing angles compared to passive glasses
- ASUS Power4Gear Hybrid that innovatively saves battery life and delivers extreme performance
- SuperSpeed USB 3.0 for quicker device charging and up to 10x faster transfers than USB 2.01
- 1.5TB 7200RPM hard drive and 12GB of DDR3 system memory for smooth computing and ample storage for all your games and media files
- Backlit gaming keyboard with ergonomic tilt-up design for comfortable control in any lighting environment
- EAX Advanced HD 5.0 Audio for premium gaming sound
As for the other one from the link at the top of the page, the specs were pretty much the same, though you can customize them to be better, but the price ends up being over 3000 if I want to make it any better. So price-wise, the Asus one is better if I match the specs to be exactly the same.

I personally love this place. I think they do online sales as well, its cheaper then canada computers and its at college/spadina downtown toronto. Look under N.B/netbook section they have quite a few high end asus's you should check out
EDIT: Check out this: ASUS G74SX-DH72, Notebook (Black) - Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.20GHz, Quad-Core), 17.3" FHD (1920x1080) LED-backlit, 16GB RAM, 750GB HDD + 128GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 3GB, Blu-ray w/ DVD-writer, 8
I would personally love an SSD to install all your games and OS onto. Its $1989

Thats a tad bit over the top (but keeps you ahead of the curve) but looks gawwwwwdly... (other than the 17", which is a bit big for a gaming laptop). The SSD is really the deal-breaker. Price is pretty decent compared to a few people I know who bought for similar but got less!
I want................. . too bad im poor

I have customized it to similar settings, but a bit higher (with a secondary hard-drive as well) and it's still fairly cheap. o_O; Weird.
But I can change the graphics card and upgrade it at a later time, right? And it still supports SLI if I choose to use a single one at first, yes? o-o;

For SLI you have to choose another one. Yes, you can upgrade everything but CPU(next gen) and motherboard
580M for 2k is steal. For 3k you can probably put desktop CPU and get SSD, but I doubt it is gonna be huge boost for gaming, maybe 1-2%. As for price-wise, 6990M beats everything

Then can I just got with a normal 580M and add another one at a later date (by going to Best Buy or something)? Or do I have to SLI right now?

Yes, you can, but another one is gonna cost more because it is upgradable and it has desktop CPU.
It will cost you about 2300, but if you are sure going to upgrade, then go for it. Desktop CPU + 580M is more than enough to handle everything

Then I'll just buy this customized laptop with one 580M for roughly 2.2k or 2.3k. If I ever find myself in the need to upgrade the videocard, I go into Best Buy and buy a new graphics card, or pay extra for SLI. Because my current crappy laptop has an onboard chip which means I'd have to replace the entire damn motherboard LOL.

that build doesn't seem to be as good as the asus I posted and its more expensive why did you decide to go with that one? Same CPU, same display, half the ram, worse graphics card, no ssd, 639 dollars more expensive
EDIT: looked at benchmarks and the gpu on that custom build is better then the one on the asus
