What healthy food can I buy with my meal plan card?
I don't want to spend $2000 on junk food and gain 15 pounds :(

I'm worried that the meal plan is going to force me to eat all this junk food more often that I otherwise wouldn't eat.

My plan for next year is to find the healthiest places/foods to eat, and spend my time going to them. Occasionally of course I'll grab something else, like pizza. But making a conscious decision to avoid high sugar/fat/cal foods will definitely help. Just be aware of what you are putting into your own body. And lucky for us, there is a gym on campus to work off all the sweets and pop lol

There's a pita place inside the Mohawk building next to the pysch building. It's very similar to Pillers, but they also toast your wrap which is a bonus for me =]

In DBAC there is a Tim hortons and they sell sandwiches too. These are no ordinary sandwiches, they can only be found here, and you can ask the Tim Hortons employees to grill it for you and they taste amazing warm on fresh bread. They are a little pricy (like 7$) but they are healthy and delish!

The cafe in the Engineering building has really delicious sandwiches that are pretty healthy. They also make really amazing fruit smoothies.

I don't generally like the food on campus however there are a few healthy options..
I usually go to la piazza in the student centre (Pillars) to get their regular wraps and sandwiches.

I recently got food poisoning from the other food area in la piazza (the one at the farthest end). I suggest you don't buy so much of their chicken products.... :(

go to the salad bars at centro or student centre, and bridges also has good salads. A lot of the food at bridges seems like it would be healthy but its really not and is packed with calories so watch what you order there. but ya, pitas and salad is always good, or soup.

everywhere has healthy options, as long as you choose right. The need-a-pita in mini mac has healthy options, and the student centre and centro both have salad/fruit bars. from centro you can also get pasta, and each day there's a special which is sometimes healthy.

Agree with everyone above! There are certainly healthy options on campus! Bridges has quite a few vegetarian options, and while many of those are deep fried, you can certainly find some good stuff Also, simple things will go a long way, like choosing whole wheat over white bread/pasta.

Bridges is full of deep-fried things!

You can make the pasta bar (Commons, MUSC, or Bridges) decently healthy if you pile on the veggies and always go for the whole wheat, skip the fatty sauce, etc.

You can also head over to Fortinos or Metro and buy your own fresh food, as well as getting stuff from the farmer's market. This isn't on your meal plan, but you can mix it up here and there to save money, because I've found that fresh fruit and salads are sometimes the most expensive things you can buy.
