meal plan/student card and campus food spots
Hi,

I was just wondering if there are any food spots on campus that do not accept payment by student card and if there are, which ones? Thanks ^_^

Not sure if there is any... Union market is kind of a food spot that doesn't accept the meal card. The bubble tea/beef patty place in the basement of MUSC (The also sell patties next to Tim Hortons) doesn't accept the meal card either.

There are a few independent snack sellers (hot dog stands, smoothie/patty place in MUSC, etc.) that only take cash so you might want to keep some handy just in case you get a craving for one of them. The cafeteria in the hospital/health sci building (not sure which one) also doesn't accept the student card. They take cash or debit I believe.

Probably because veggies don't have meat. If you want meat, eat the real thing! :p

Lol NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR I refuse to give people more reasons to cut down rainforests to make fields whose purpose is to feed cows so that we can eat them. PC has pretty good veggie hamburgers. My problem is that I don't like tofu...

Amen! And I hate tofu too! And I think the best veggie burgers are Licks, that's all I eat in the summer time.

Ooh I haven't tried Licks yet. I always shop at No Frills and they only have PC meatless burgers... it's sad that veggie burgers cost more than meat ones :(

Supply and demand.... the meat eaters outnumber the vegetarians.

I prefer to eat meat for a few reasons:

1) It's delicious
2) It's more healthy/natural when done properly... the human body is designed to be omnivorous.

I don't eat meat because my body rejects it. No matter then kind of meat and the way it was cooked and how regularly or irregularly I ate it, I would become ill. I am much healthier now being vegetarian, then I was eating meat. I went vegetarian three years ago, and I've never looked back ^_^

I agree. A nice steak beats lettuce or tofu any day.

This is off-topic. If you want to talk about vegetarianism, please do it in another thread.

edit:

Some people enjoy being vegetarian for health/ethical/personal choice. Some people enjoy eating meat for health/ethical/personal choices. I think it's best if we just respected each others choices : )
