Help choosing electives for 1st year!
Hi, I'm going to be going to Mac this fall and I need to choose three electives for my program. I want to choose three programs that I find interesting, but at the same time courses that are not super hard. Can you guys tell me some electives that you took and if it was hard or easy? Thanks!

its different for everyone. take what interests you. you will hate studying for something someone told you was easy but is boring to you.

Try to look into some of these:

Econ 1B03
- Midterms tend to be on the easier side, however, the exam is killer but if you're good with the math involved in this course, you'll do fine

Anthro 1Z03
- didn't take this course personally, but my room mate said its fairly decent if you're into human

My friends in health science ended up taking easy stuff like
- Math (1LS3)

- Physics (1L03)

Then again, its all what you think is hard/easy, but here are some courses you can take!

Hope this helped,

Julian

I really enjoyed Astronomy 1F03. The assignments were quite difficult, but if you actually start them ahead of time they won't be too bad. The labs are really easy. The lectures start off pretty basic (why we have seasons, etc.) but get a lot better later on in the term. The planetarium session and the telescope viewings were a nice bonus.

EDIT: I also took Math 1B03 and liked it a lot more than calculus. Pretty easy, except for the last couple weeks. Even then, it wasn't so bad.

You're not really limited to anything, so take any course that interests you! I know friends In Health Sci that took a whole bunch of different electives, including:
Math 1A03/1LS3/1AA3/1LT3/1B03, Hth Age 1AA3/1BB3, Physics 1L03/1B03/1BB3, French 1Z06/1A06 (or any language course really), Anthropology 1A03/1B03/1Z03, etc. You can take almost any first year course really, so see what subjects you want to explore or maybe minor in and go from there.

The intro anthropology or geography courses are pretty interesting.

Personally, my vote goes for Indigenous Studies; prof is awesome and material is interesting
